Meet the Maker
Tansi, my name is Lisa Okemow. I am an Indigenous artist residing on Treaty 7 land.
I began Bold and Baked early 2020 as an attempt to keep my creative mind fulfilled during what felt like an eternal lockdown. I have always had a love for many different art mediums, but most often found myself gravitating toward polymer clay creations. I could spend hours watching videos on Youtube and was enamored by the endless possibilities this medium could allow; everything from adorable food charms to realistic stone beads and eye-catching jewelry pieces.
It was during my search to find a new creative outlet that I rediscovered my love for polymer clay, so I ordered my supplies and began the process of trial and error to create a product I was truly happy with and felt confident in. After a few months, Bold and Baked was ready to make her debut and in August 2020, I launched my first collection of clay jewelry. There is so much room to experiment with and since then, I have expanded to include custom hand-sculpted keychains and beaded jewelry as well.
Thanks for coming along this journey with me!
kinanâskomitin, I appreciate you.
