Artist Bio

Tansi, my name is Lisa! I am a mixed-Indigenous artist of Nêhiyaw and Eastern European ancestry, residing on Treaty 7 land.

During the day you can find me working as a solar project coordinator, pursuing my passion to see a future thriving on renewable, clean energy. In the evenings, I find happiness in creating a wide range of accessories and art for my small business, Bold & Baked!

I launched in June of 2020 with the intention of keeping my creative mind fulfilled after struggling through what felt like an eternal lockdown. I have always had a love for many different art mediums and through Bold & Baked, I was able to begin expressing this creativity.

I initially began my small business venture by solely creating polymer clay earrings but have since expanded to offer a much wider range of accessories, with the majority of my focus now on my beadwork.

Beading is something I hold near and dear to my heart as it has helped with my healing process through reclaiming and reconnecting with a piece of my culture. With the encouragement of my mom, I began practicing beadwork behind the scenes in 2020, and now have the joy of sharing my work with others.

Thank you for coming along this journey with me!
